Filling up with AdBlue is thinking about a greener planet!
AdBlue is an environmentally friendly additive for trucks, vans and also all passenger cars certified with the Euro IV, V or VI emission standards.
AdBlue is a solution of urea in demineralised water, this is used with diesel to make it run cleaner.
AdBlue is carried in a separate tank on trucks, buses and tractors.
There are also some passenger car models with TDI engines that use AdBlue.
The agent is injected into the hot exhaust gas before a special catalytic converter.
The nitrogen oxides formed during combustion are converted into elemental nitrogen and water.
AdBlue consumption is 3 to 5% of diesel consumption.
